September Newsletter
From Lana
Once again we find ourselves starting into another school year. The day campers are off and in school and all are doing well. Fall brings changes to our center as well.
We had 2 very producive days of trainings and cleaning last month and many of you have noticed some new paint as well as other changes.
It is now time to re enroll children here at Steele School. What that means is that if you have any changes to your child’s situation or new things you would like to add to your child’s file such as pick up people etc , you need to stop in and let me know.
- The $100.00 annual registration and student insurance fee is due again at this time of year.
- It is also time to renew supplies.
- Make sure your child has new spare clothes, chances are they have all grown out of last years.
If you are a new enrollment talk to me about the registration fee. It may not apply to you.
Reminders:
September 1, 2014—No School Holiday
September 8, 2014— 9:30 am We are going to try to start the soccer program again this year. For those of you who were with us at the farm you will remember KinderKixx soccer. This is a terrific program that teaches the values as well as skills of soccer. Every child comes away feeling like a winner. We will offer a free day for all children 3 years old and up to try it out. Make sure your child is dressed appropriately with tennis shoes for that day. BONUS Miss Katie will be teaching the class.
More new staff:
I am sure by now you have all met Ms. Angela. She has settled in and is doing a great job with the young preschoolers.
Ms. Mariah has secured a position with a charter school teaching more of what she went to school for. She will still sub for us so she will be around. It is not goodbye.
Ms. Deborah will take over in Toddlers. She comes to us with many years of experience in child care. She will still have Vie and Ms. Moya with her.
Ms. Katrina will start as our new Infant person, Ms. Melanie has returned part time and Ms. Paula will still be there. Our new infant room will open around the holidays, if all the babies are born on time. As of now we are fully enrolled with not-yet born babies. Should be an exciting winter!

Please read the parent board for any up coming changes and check your child’s Friday folder each week and take home their treasures and masterpieces. Thank you for welcoming me into your child’s school and lives.

Back in school again!! I’m really looking orward to working with your students this year. We are all Kindergarten-bound. ( even me ).
We will start off the year reviewing our rules, mastering our letters, and beginning to recognize sight words. Some things to remember before we start: Make sure your student has an extra set of clothes here at school, we also have supply lists for parents available. If you have any questions please ask. Let’s start the year off great.
