October is here! This is a teacher’s favorite time of the year. There are so many things to do, learn, and discover this next month; the children really enjoy it. Hold on to your bats (I mean hats!) cause here we go. This month we will be focusing on the letter B, counting 1-5, and our shapes circle and square. We will also be working on our lunch manners and encouraging them to use their spoon.
Please remember as the weather gets colder the children will need their jackets, mittens, and hats. Please label all of these with your child’s name. Also check their extra clothes to make sure they fit and are weather appropriate.

For the month of October we will continue learning about the seasons and color changes, our ABC’s, Numbers, and Shapes. We will also learn about the upcoming holidays. We can’t wait to start learning about the beautiful changes of Fall!
Just a couple reminders: extra clothes go under the changing table, each child has a bag with their name on it. Please keep in mind that the weather is changing, we ask that you provide extra clothes appropriate for the colder weather. Also on the top shelf under the changing table there are tubs with each child name on it, this is where will find any dirty clothes (if any) that your child may have had that day. Please remember to check the tubs every day. Check your child’s daily sheet for reminders such as, if we are out of diapers, clothes, or wipes…etc. As always, thank you!

The leaves are falling and Autumn is in the air. For the month of October we will be exploring the alphabet, changing of the seasons and Halloween celebrations!
Please take home all summer clothing that your child has in their cubbies and bring in Fall/Winter clothing for your child. Children that are potty training should have at least 3-5 complete changes of clothing here.
Potty training- Parents please make sure that your child is coming to school in clothing that is easy for them to pull up and down. Constricting clothes makes it hard for your child to use the bathroom on their own and it causes them to become frustrated.
We are looking forward to a fun and adventurous month! Thank you all for your cooperation.

Fall is in the air! I have really enjoyed getting to know all the new kids in preschool!! It is getting colder in the mornings so please remember to bring a jacket for your child. We do go outside first thing in the morning.
The kids have really enjoyed the letter of the week and are doing great at trying to write the letter and find words that start with that letter! Some have been very creative with what they bring for show and tell!! Our letter for the week is posted on the red apple as you come into the classroom. Please remember to bring in a family photo for our family tree.
This month we will be doing a lot of stuff related to fall and Halloween. We are still learning about how to be a good friend, using our words, and manners. The kids love earning a fish to put up on out “Look who got caught being a good friend ” board! They are all doing a great job!! If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
