January Newsletter
From Lana:
Hello and Happy New Year. We are all excited about the New Year and changes coming.
We will be having a few new kids starting and several moving up to older classes.
Several parents have asked about tax statements for 2015. I will be doing those for parents who are current on their tuition. If you have questions please feel free to ask.
We will be welcoming a new teacher this month. She will be attending Metro State College and preparing to be an elementary education teacher. She brings a bright positive attitude and is really able to connect with the children. She will be helping out in the preschool classroom where we are seeing tremendous growth.

Welcome back! We hope the time with your family over holiday break was filled with lots of joyous memories. We would love to hear about your family’s holiday experiences. Any pictures or stories you have to share are welcome. Bringing those memories into class builds a great home-school connection. This month our themes will be: Winter, snow and animals and birds in winter. We will also talk about hibernation and what animals hibernate.
As it grows colder outside, please remember to send your child in appropriate outdoor clothing.

With a new year and a new month come new feelings. We are going to be working on positive ways to handle our anger, frustration, and disappointment. We are also continuing on with our Kindergarten prep. Our letter / number recognition more in depth with colors and shapes, and our small motor skills such as holding a pencil correctly and working with scissors.
