December Newsletter
From Lana
Hello to the last month of the year. Well December marks just about the ½ way point of the school year. We have seen such growth in these children, it is amazing. Lots going on this month and as we all know it is a very exciting time for children.
Some changes to mention. We have renewed our parent handbook and it is now available to view online. Might be a good time to re-read it. We also have a couple policy changes.
***Paid and unpaid days have changed. After a recent rate and policy survey we have decided to change our policy to reflect all paid days. Teacher training days and pre holiday days will now be charged just as holidays, sick and snow days. This should end the confusion as to what days are charged and which are not.
***We will no longer be able to offer the 15 minutes buffer time at the end of the day. We close at 5:30 and the late charge will now be charged from that time.
Infants Ms. Melanie
December is here and 2015 is coming to an end. It’s been a great year watching the babies grow and learn. Ellie is doing great sitting up and enjoys playing with the musical toys. Indie is starting to sit up and really loves rolling around the room. Nolan is trying to balance himself when we sit him up he likes reaching for toys and then rolling to them. Ben is rolling and likes reaching for toys. Harlan loves to laugh and talk to everyone. Alice is starting to roll and loves talking and pulling her socks off.

Welcome December! This month we will be working on the sign for star, the colors red, green and silver. All my babies are learning so much, Eliza is now pulling herself up on the toy shelf. Owen is learning more sign language. Ezra is enjoying building with blocks. Rowan has mastered walking backwards. Everett really enjoys looking at books sometimes for up to 20 minutes. JD loves to open and close blocks and enjoys songs. Teddy has so much fun chasing a ball with his friends.
Happy Birthday this month to Teddy and JD. As the weather gets cooler please check your child’s cubby to be sure that the spare clothes are warm enough.
If you have any holiday books you would like to share with the group please send them and we will read them together. Also please send a family photo we are going to create a collage on the lunchroom ½ door. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Can’t believe it is December. This month is all about celebrations and traditions; Christmas, holidays of other cultures. Please feel free to share any traditions you may have. You are welcome to send photos or books to allow us to understand other celebrations.
With the colder months coming we will still try to go outside so please bring in warmer clothes with your child’s name on them. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
Intermediates Ms Pimporn
December is a month that we at Intermediates class happily look forward to. In this busy month, we enjoy talking about all of the holidays that we celebrate. It is so wonderful for us to be able to share our holiday traditions and to learn and appreciate our likeness and differences. A few reminders, please make sure that your child’s spare clothes are complete and appropriate for the weather. Also please remember to send you child to school prepared to go outside with coat, hat gloves and boots if necessary. We do go outside everyday unless it is below 35 degrees.
Please send a 5X7 photo of your family for our family tree.
