April Newsletter
From Lana,
Well we are certainly happy for the arrival of spring. The children are having a great time outside.
A few reminders:
-We need to be more mindful of parking lot safety. Please keep a hold of your child’s hand and please slow down when you drive in and out of the lot. It is important that we all take care of the safety of the children.
-Later in the month the children will be doing some planting in the containers out in front of the building. You will receive a note asking if you would like to send a small plant for your child to add to the container. At this time it is too early to start so we will watch the weather and decide when to trust this Colorado weather.
-Please let me know if your child will be out this summer or if you are planning a vacation so I can know how to staff.
-Over the next month we will be having some construction done here to transform a classroom into two toddler rooms. This will make it easier to accommodate those infants and young toddlers who seem to grow out of the infant room to quickly.
-ALSO our annual licensing inspection will happen in June. We are in very good standing with licensing and never have any problems with this time of year HOWEVER there is one thing that falls to parents to do. I have to see that every child’s file is up to date. This may mean that you need to update your child’s physical form and shot records. I will be sending out reminders of what is needed for your child and it is very important that your get those things back to me right away. As you can understand having over 60 children to keep updated it is quite a chore, so I really appreciate your cooperation.
Infants Melanie & Gladys
Spring is finally here and the weather is starting to get warmer. Please make sure your child has weather appropriate clothes and correct sizes. They grow so quickly.
Nolan will be moving into the Infant 2 classroom as he becomes more mobile. He has been visiting and loves playing over there. Ben loves to figure out how to make toys work. Harlan is trying to push himself up to crawl—look out it won’t be long now. Alice loves crawling around and getting to all the toys. Emmitt is really trying to sit up and he loves rolling around. Adrian loves flirting with everyone who enters the room. We will be welcoming two new friends. Lyla and Dayle. Our songs for the month are “You are my sunshine’ and “Raindrops”. Our signs for the month are “more”, “Please”, and “All done.”
Infant 2 Sarah and Paula
April is here! This month is full of fun and exciting things. Eliza is doing well and walking with a walker and loves pulling herself up. Owen is doing great, loves books and bubbles. Theodore is cruzing full time and is all over the room. JD is doing well and has been visiting the toddler room where he is having no problem keeping up. Indie has settled in well and is starting to take a few steps. She is very proud of herself.

As we begin the month of April, we hope we will all be able to enjoy warmer weather and many beautiful spring days. Our theme for April will be spring, plants, flowers and Earth Day. Important notice finally the weather is getting better and our kids are spending time on the playground. Some activities may be messy, so please check your child’s cubby daily and bring extra clothes as needed.
HAPPY SPRING.
Preschool Lindsey and Krista

Hello Spring! We are all so excited to have more time outside. We are looking forward to some spring planning. We will be starting to take walks in the neighborhood to see signs of spring. We will also be looking forward to having some days at the new park! Please watch for a permission slip to come home so your child will be allowed to join us on these outings.
