April Newsletter
From Lana
It would seem that spring has finally sprung. We are excited about being able to spend more time outside and enjoying our playground and fresh air.
Some things you need to know and some reminders
- I need to let you know that as of the end of March we will no longer accept American Express credit cards. The processing fees have risen so high that it is no longer feasible for us to work with them.
- We also need to ask you all to please not give out your door codes to other family members. We prefer to answer the door bell and check IDs as they arrive rather than after they are in the building, on a few occasions some staff have been concerned with seeing, what seemed to be, strangers in the building. The other issue is that many times they do not know where the child’s classroom is and end up walking into classrooms where they are not known. As usual you still need to call and let us know someone else will be picking up your child so we can direct them as to where to find the child.
- Reminder: If you are having a change in schedule or taking vacation time, you need to let me know in writing. It is not enough to let the teacher or Amy know. Because their first priority is meeting the needs of the children they can’t be expected to remember to let me know. You can email or call me or just leave a note on my desk or in the tuition box.
Dates to remember:

It’s April and spring is finally here. Zoe has been enjoying exploring her new classroom. Elias and Everett are starting to use words and communicating with each other in their own language. Luke and Jaxson are starting to try to sit on their own, they also talk to each other in their own language. All of them reach for each other’s hands, it is so great to see how social they are with each other. The signs for the month are: Sun, Rain and Flower.
The songs for the month are: Rain drops; You are my sunshine, and 10 little flowers.
Toddler 1 and 2: Ms. Mariah, Ms. Krista, Ms. Felicia, and Ms. Vie
Spring time is here….. We have so much planned. We will be learning about spring, starting a garden, and playing outside. We will be decorating eggs and talking about the colors we are using. We will continue to learn about colors and shapes. In May we will talk about baby animals. Did you know that children imitating animal sounds is actually preparing them to speak clearly later. We are so excited to get started with all our spring time fun.

Spring has sprung! The month of April we are going to be working on our classroom garden. We are excited to see what vegetables and herbs will grow the best. Come watch our progress. We live in Colorado and with that comes weather that is continually changing. Please remember to always send a jacket. Make sure your child always has an extra set of clothes for any “accidents” that may occur.
Love and light to you all !
