February Newsletter
From Lana:
Well February is here and spring must be right around the corner. For now, we will still be braving the weather and going outside so keep the coats, hats, and mittens with the kids.
We will be celebrating friendship and love this month with classroom parties in each age group. Please watch for teacher’s postings as to what you might bring. As usual please allow your child to sign valentines but leave the envelopes blank as it is easier to distribute that way.
PARTIES will be on the 14th from 3:30 to 4:30 in all age groups.
This month we will be welcoming 2 new teachers. Nina will be opening our second new Toddler room and Brittany will be helping Kim with her rising numbers of children. Both come to us with great references and kind hearts.

Welcome to February! It’s been so much fun to see your children hit milestones in their growth. Maggie has adjusted well and enjoys seeing her new friends. Ryla is starting to sit with support and she loves looking out the big window. Sabine and Cataleya are sitting with less support and they love having their little “girl talk” sessions when they are sitting together. Finn loves story time and smiles and flirts with everyone.
Infant 2 Paula and Sarah
We had a great month of January and are looking forward to a love-filled month of February.
We will be learning signs of love and heart. Our colors will be purple, pink and white.

Sean is learning the stairs to the changing table and Dayle is climbing the stairs as well, she has her own style and is something to see.

Our sign will be love, We will still be working on our other signs we have learned, like please, thank you, more, help and cold. Please bring in family photos, it doesn’t need to be just one, you can bring several if you like. The children love looking at these pictures.

Happy February. The children are very interested in animals, so this month we will focus on that. We will be looking at zoo animals, farm animals ocean animals and pets. If you would like to bring in a photo of your pets we would love to put it on our wall.
For our Valentine celebration, we would like for you to bring in a box to decorate for our valentines. Have a wonderful February.

Along with a new month comes one of my favorite holidays. Valentine’s Day. Over the next two weeks we will discuss the topics related to this wonderful event. We will discuss with the children that this day is when we share our positive feelings about special people. This day also provides us an opportunity to talk about the importance of sharing, giving, loving and friendship. The children will also learn the purpose, symbols, colors and activities related to the holiday.
