October Newsletter
From Lana
Well Fall has arrived and the children are enjoying seeing the changes in the weather and trees.
Please remember to dress your children for the cooler weather and send a jacket. We still play outside every day.
Each classroom will be hosting a Halloween party on the 31st. Please check for postings or talk to your child’s teacher about what to bring.
October 17—21 We will be hosting a Coat Drive for children’s or adult coats. If your child has grown out of their gently used coat please bring it for another child to use. If you like you may exchange it for one someone else has grown out of.
HELP- We have noticed that our online listing has lately slipped down. Please go to Google Maps (see notice by the sign in sheet) and give us a review. At this time we are doing fine on enrollments; however, we would like for the public and new parents to know how you feel about us and the care and love your children receive here. Your feedback is always appreciated.

Welcome Ryla, Cataleya and Ivy. Songs for this month are Old McDonald had a farm and 10 little pumpkins. Signs for the month are 1-10 and different animals to go with Old McDonald had a farm.

Fall is here and the children are settled nicely into their new classroom and making friends every day.
We are very excited for this new season. This month we will focus on fall colors such as orange, red, yellow and brown. We will also use objects that come from nature to create art, like leaves and sticks. Also be sure to check the parent board in our classroom for our Spanish word of the day. Also, watch for details about our Halloween party.

Hello, Intermediate parents. Fall has arrived and the weather is getting a little cooler each day. Please dress your child appropriately each day. Please send a jacket each day we do play outdoors. REMINDER Wednesday is “show-and-tell” day based on our theme. Our theme this month is, safety; fire, traffic, stranger, pets, and pedestrian. I will be breaking each of these topics down to a couple per week. Our social emotional theme will be feelings and our friend’s feelings. We will also be doing some fun fall and Halloween crafts and activities. We will be having a Halloween party at the end of the month. Watch for postings about that. Happy Fall.

The final week will be learning to plan a party, we will have a party on the 31st at 3:30. Children are encouraged to change into costumes and will parade around the school. We will have classroom activities and the children may pass out goodies to their friends. Bring enough for 20.
Academic Notes: this month we will start the alphabet and we will have show and tell on Wednesdays. We want the children to bring in an item that corresponds with the Letter of the Week. Please watch for signs in the classroom. If your child has a book to bring in and share we would love that.
