July Newsletter
From Lana
Well, we are certainly in the midst of summer. The children are having a great time playing in the water and searching for bugs. Day campers are enjoying their walking field trips and have lots more fun to come. Remember to check with your child’s teacher to make sure you have plenty of sunscreen and whatever else your child may need.
Remember to let me know if you will be taking vacation or changing your schedule for any reason.
August is enrollment and reenrollment month so there will be lots going on next month including changing class groups. Children will be moving up to older groups and we will be having an enrollment drive so if you have friends who are looking to get in be sure to let us know since we usually fill up quickly.
REMINDER—Watch your speed in the parking lot and keep hold of your child when you arrive and leave. Let’s keep our children safe.
Infant1 Melanie & Gladys
This month we will be learning different songs with sign language and gentle ways to interact with our friends. We will watch to see how adding different colors to one color will change the color. Have a good 4th of July.
Infant 2 Paula & Sarah
Welcome to July! Well, Ben has moved to our class and we are all excited! This month we will learn a new sign “Fireworks”. We will also be reviewing our signs we already know. The colors will be Red, White and Blue. We will talk about the shape “star”.
Toddlers Vie, Christie and Erin
This month the Toddlers will continue to play outside in our water pool. Remember sunscreen, hat and if you can send shoes that can get wet. We also plan to do lots of different activities, like make play dough, paint and color. We will learn new songs, and last but not least some sensory activities.
Intermediate Chrystal and Miranda
Summer is underway and we are enjoying these hot days. We continue to do water days, if you haven’t already please remember to bring a swimsuit, towel and your child’s water bottle which will need to go home everyday to be washed and returned the next day. As children move up I will be rearranging cubbies so please check for your child’s name. We are planning some great art projects to celebrate summer and the 4th of July
.
Preschool Lindsey and Nicholle
We have had a wonderful kick off to this summer. June has been busy with learning about caterpillars, gardening, and why sunscreen is important and learning to apply it ourselves. July will be full of fun with Parachute games, water play and some special interest activities. Remember to check your child’s cubbie and look around the room for new things.
Pre-K Pimporn
Summer wouldn’t be fun without lots of water play. If it is not rainy we are outside. There is lots of fun to enjoy when outside. Like riding bikes, having fun with bubbles, sidewalk chalk drawing, swinging forever walking to neighborhood park and just plain running around. We will be closed the 4th of July, we wish you a safe and fun holiday weekend. Happy Birthday USA!
Day Camp Amy
June has been a busy month, we started creating puppets. We have made pizza and played in the water A LOT! We missed the trip to the library because of the extreme heat; we will try again in July. July comes with many adventures. We still accept plants these next couple weeks and continue to plant. Reminder for the tye dyeing activity the students need to bring their own items to tye dye.
If you have information on things your child can be working on during power hour let me know. If they have work books from their school please feel free to send them.
