August Newsletter
From Lana
What a fun summer this has been. The kids have been outside, getting wet and getting dirty and having a great time. The Day Campers have had some super trips and some great times here at school.
Another reminder if you are planning a vacation please let me know. The teachers are not expected to give me the message or keep track, so in order for you to not get billed and take advantage of your 2 weeks you need to send me an email or note to tell me when you will be out.
I am also planning around staff vacations as well so that is why you may see teachers moving around a lot. Maybe you have noticed that Justine our new teacher has been out. Please keep her in her thoughts as she takes some time off to deal with some health issues with her baby. Hope to see her back soon. We will be seeing a growth in enrollment these next few months so we will be welcoming a new teacher. Her Name is Ashley and she comes to us with great experience and education. She will start the 7th of August.
We are in the process of making new class lists and moving children up to other groups, this will take place in September however there are a few kiddos who are ready to move now so we will be transitioning them. As you know we do this slowly and gradually and take our cues from the children.

Falling into August ! We want to welcome Eliza and family to our class. She is a cutie pie. Angelo has moved up to the toddler class where he is doing great. We will miss him. Zadie is almost ready to move up to toddlers. Eliza is reaching out for toys that are farther away from her. Ezra is now crawling and pulling up on things, Cassie is now walking and climbing on everything. Rowan is also crawling and pulling up. Everett has now moved over from the infant 1 room and has adjusted so quickly, he is a busy guy.

We have had a fun filled summer so far and will continue to enjoy outside time and learning activities to expand our knowledge about summer and savor these next few weeks! We will be talking about transportation to kick off august, since there has been a lot of traveling and commuting around all summer and everyday! Keep an eye out for school buses and enjoy the conversations with your toddlers, they are talking lots.

WOW! Where did the summer go? August brings our summer to a close but that doesn’t mean the fun is over yet. We will have an end of summer party on August 25th in the afternoon. Watch for more details to come. In August we will be talking about what is coming next to help the children’s transitions easier. We will also be doing some cooking and craft projects. Please remember to check your child’s cubby daily for their creations and treasures and other items to go home.
It has been my honor to watch and help your children grow, Thank you for letting me in on your small piece of paradise!
