Well it is finally warm and sunny and the children are loving it outdoors. Here are a few reminders:
-If you are planning a vacation this summer remember to let me know in writing so we can staff accordingly.
-We are welcoming back Karen for some days this summer to fill in for staff who are vacationing.
-We will be doing water play every day so remember the swim suits, towels, sunscreen and sun hat.
As most of you are aware we do not have structured lesson planning in the summer time. We just play. However we are doing “Power Hour” one hour per day to keep skills strong. The older children will be working in workbooks provided by their school, the younger children will be doing a variety of things from learning games to actual review of concepts learned the past winter.
I am happy to be back and almost normal. I missed seeing the children and families. Thank you all for your kind words and wishes for my recovery.
Infants Ms. Melanie & Ms Sarah
June is here and it’s almost summer. Everett is really trying to crawl and loves to talk to his friends. J.D. is very social and reaches for toys that he has his eyes on. Lynsey is starting to try to hold her own bottle. We are welcoming Theodore to our classroom this month. He is doing great.
Our songs for the month are “You are my Sunshine” and ” The ants go marching one by one”
Our signs are “More and Milk.”
Infant 2 Ms. Paula
Welcome to June. Our class is moving right along. Angelo is walking well and Zadie is well on her way. Rowan is now getting up on all 4’s and is about ready to go, look out! Cassie is crawling and has become quite the climber. Ezra is now getting brave to get on all 4’s as well and Alijah is now stacking blocks on one another. Great growth for all these babies.
This month we will be reviewing the signs we have learned. The color for the month is Yellow and the shape will be circle. Please remember to check that your child’s spare clothes are lighter due to the warmer weather.
Toddlers Ms Francine & Ms Vie
This month we are excited to introduce water play and learn all about the ocean and aquariums! We will be going outside earlier in the morning and staying out longer. We will have water activities everyday Please bring labeled items for summer from the list provided. You may also donate any items on our classroom sign up. We are happy to welcome summer and enjoy it with your child.
Intermediates Ms Vella & Ms Justine
June is here and with it comes change which is always welcome. Justine will be joining our group as well as the 3 year old kiddos. Summer is here so we will be doing water play every day. Remember sun block. We will be talking about summer safety. We will have lots of fun and keep your children happy, safe and healthy.
Preschool Ms Krista & Ms Moya
Let Summer begin !! I am so excited for summer fun. We will be doing water play variations every day. We will be doing a camping week unit at the end of June. Look at the board above the cubbies for more details. Have a fun summer and be safe.
Day Camp Ms Andrea and Gavin
Our summer camp is in full swing. We had a smooth transition moving our new kindergartners up with the school age kids.
Please check the calendar daily to see what activity is planned. Days we leave campus please have your student wear good shoes for walking.
Remember , we do water play every day , Make sure your student has swim suit, towel and sunscreen.
