March Newsletter
From Lana
March is here and we have certainly experienced “in like a lion”. We are all eager to get to the “out like a lamb” part of the month.
February was interesting, the first snow day since we opened. The children have enjoyed having some sunny days to play outside and we are all looking forward to many more. Be sure your child has appropriate clothing.
After a long winter we will be starting some vacation times. I will be gone for one week March 16-20. Then Amy will be gone from March 19-31. Please don’t hesitate to still come in for any questions you may have.
Not a lot is on the calendar for this month but I do need to give you a reminder that on April 3rd the School is closed for a training day. These days are so beneficial to us and it keeps the teachers fresh. Training days are not paid tuition days so you may pro-rate your tuition payment. If you have questions feel free to call or stop in and talk to me.
Infants 1 Melanie & Sarah
March is here and spring starts on the 20th. Cassie is sitting up and reaching for toys, Ezra is getting very verbal and loves to smile. Keelan is starting to learn how to roll over. Rowan is starting to sit up very well and reaches for anything he wants to play with. Everett is starting to roll on to his side to reach for toys. This month’s songs are ’10 little shamrocks’ and ‘All the rain drops’. Our signs for the month are rain, sun, and shamrock.
Infants 2 Paula
March is rolling in and spring is right around the corner. We want to welcome Nora to our classroom. Nora is doing well and making lots of new friends. William has moved on to the toddler room and is doing great. We miss him. Zadie is now learning to stack 2 to 3 blocks at a time. Angelo is now learning to stand all by himself. Townes is walking and is getting good at stacking blocks. Travion loves to help with the younger babies and to pick up toys. Our colors for the month are green and yellow our shape is shamrock.
Toddlers Francine & Vie
It’s hard to believe, but March is here and Spring is on its way. We will begin by celebrating Read Across America and Dr. Seuss’ birthday. All week long we will encourage literacy and read lots of stories and enjoy some fun activities. As the weather begins to change, we will focus on clouds, wind, rain and a little more snow, as we hunt down leprechauns and watch the green magic happen this March!
Intermediates Vella & Ms. Moya
March is here and the intermediates are going green. We will talk about reduce, reuse, and recycle. It may be a subject that is a bit over their heads but the hope is to expose children to a less wasteful lifestyle. We are all growing so fast and the language skills are going wild in here. It is a pleasure to hear the children communicate with each other. We are looking forward to spending more and more time outside. Enjoy the month of March.
Preschool Krista + Deborah
Welcome to March! This year is flying by and these kids are growing on all levels. We are starting to incorporate more sigh language into our class, as children learn with their whole body. We have recently started signing the ABC’s when we sing them in the morning circle time, and the children are very excited about it. This month we will be learning about body awareness, health, and hygiene. Things like hand washing comes so naturally to us as adults that we sometimes forget to talk about it with our children. Help us by encouraging these healthy habits at home.
Pre-kindergarten Andrea
We have made it through our alphabet! We have had a lot of fun singing our way from A to Z. We will be moving to our vowels and recognizing two and three letter words. During the month of March we will be focusing on our bodies and how to take care of ourselves. We also would like to welcome a new friend Wren to our class, she is a great addition. Thank you for all you do to help us be successful in our days.
