December Newsletter
From Lana
Happy Holidays, yes it’s true the school year is half over. Lots going on in December. We will be opening a new infant room. It has been fully enrolled since August with not yet born babies.
They are arriving and should be open by the end of January. Melanie will return to care for the tiny babies and Sarah’s baby will be one of the newbies. Pretty exciting.
Some dates to make note of:
December 24, 25 and 26 we will be closed for the holidays.
December 31, January 1 and 2 we will be closed again for the holidays.
On December 19th the classrooms will host their holiday parties and book exchange.
Welcome Ms. Francine to the Toddler room. She is terrific and comes to us with great skills and experience. The toddlers love her.

This month we will be learning about celebrations and traditions! Luke and William are walking really well and they love showing off their new skill. Shawna loves climbing up the stairs to have a diaper change. Travion and Angelo have adjusted very well, they love story time and playing with friends. Townes loves climbing in and out of the big circle window. This month we welcomed two new friends to our group. Ezra and Cassie. We are all happy they will be joining us as we learn and play; they are both happy sweet babies with wide eyes. The colors of the month are red, green and white. The songs of the month are Frosty the snowman and one little, two little, three little snowflakes. Enjoy the season.

Wow seems like the days seem to go more swiftly every day, hard to believe that December is here already. We have welcomed Liam and Isaac from the toddler room; they are making lots of new friends. In December we will be learning about different family traditions and celebrations. Does your family have any special family traditions? Please drop us a note, maybe we can learn about it too. We will also be planning some fun winter activities as well. Our classroom party will be December 19th. We will be having a book exchange, check our parent board often to learn more details. Please make sure your child has weather appropriate extra clothes marked with their name. Have a wonderful holiday season.

Our class really enjoyed our stories that taught us about “friendship” Stop by our classroom and see the Friendship Quilt that your students put together. Our theme for December will be
“Problem solving”. We will be learning tools to solve a dispute in an appropriate manner.
We will be starting Library Days for each classroom. Pre-K will visit our in-school library on Mondays. They will be able to check out a book for the week to have here at school or take home with them. December 19th will be our holiday party. We will be doing a book exchange. Please have your child bring in a wrapped age-appropriate book to exchange. Always remember to bring in enough layers to play outside as we will take advantage of as many days as we can to go outside.
Many Blessings to you !
